Nanny’s Awareness, Security & Protection (ASP) Course

 Nannies are in a unique position, being trusted explicitly with the care and safety of someone else’s child or children. They can live extremely close with the family and be accepted in the family’s inner circle. 

Perhaps you’re a nanny or you employ a nanny; either way I think we can all agree the safety of the children is paramount. Our Nanny’s ‘ASP’ Course is designed to prepare the nanny for the threats of the modern world. Ultimately, good preparation and training will reduce the risk to both the nanny and the children. 

Our 5 day course covers a wide range of subjects, both practical and theory; all designed to prepare and build confidence in the individual. The tempo and manner of the course is relaxed yet structured. It is not a boot camp, but training designed for the real world.

Our instructors come from a wide background; bringing together elements of the military, close protection, medical training, martial arts and children’s education.

The course additionally offers a great opportunity for continued professional development, or to help diversify your CV to improve employment opportunities.



· Health and Safety Executive (HSE) Approved emergency first aid course and paediatric first aid qualification.

· Self Defence – With a mix of Rapid Action Initiated Defence (RAID) and Krav Maga, including knife attacks. 

· UK Law.

· Fire Awareness, including practical use of a fire extinguisher. 

· Venue Reconnaissance (planning and safety).

·  Situational Awareness (recognising threats).

· Driving awareness.

· Safety drills for children.

· Combat Mindset. 

· Actions on threat and attack.

· The ‘Nanny Bag’ (useful items to carry on a day-to- day basis).

· Firearms awareness training, including firing of a pistol (Blank ammunition). 

· A final practical exercise testing various skills taught on the course.

· IQ level 3 in Self Defence (RAID) 

· HSE approved emergency first aid course and paediatric first aid qualification

· IST Certificate on successful completion
